A clean and elegant script well suited to simple arcades. The initial price is about average but its the cost of support, upgrades, and copyright removal which leave a nasty taste in the mouth. Still, it deserves a second look.
First Impressions
This script comes to you from Code Mates. The Chika Arcade website is stylish, compact and perfectly suited to its job as a showcase for the software. For the first time Ive come across an arcade scripts site that has a manual in pdf available for download, thats a really nice touch 
The features are readily available and the entire site in general is a pleasure to use…one of the better ones thats for sure.
Demo
The script comes with 3 templates included and both of them were on display on 2 seperate sites as demonstrations. Both were good, but BestArcadeScript is particularly nice. There didnt seem to be an admin demo available but there were some nice screenshots, and what they indicated was an uncluttered, simple stylish backend that im sure would run pretty fast. Keep it simple and slick is my view, the public never sees the backed so pretty templates arent going to help you.
Features
The features are on offer were nothing to get excited about, and all very typical of the genre. This script as aimed squarely at those wanting something clean and simple.
Quality
The script is currently version 1.0.9 from what I can gather, and so im not expecting it to be flawless. That said Code Mate look like fairly professional outfit, so im sure its up to par.
Pricing
There is only one version of Chika Arcade which again makes it nice and easy.
Full License - $49 - 3 themes, 1500+ games, 1 year upgrades, 1 year support
Greate price for the basic script, especially with the quantity of free games on offer…but the support and upgrade options get interesting.
Support
Beyond the first year you must pay $25 for an additional 12 months support. I dont particularly like this business model but if it means further development of the script that its not too extreme. Updates beyond the first 12 months also cost an additional $30…so its starting to get a little expensive.
Gamepacks
There are 1500 or so games included and there didnt seem to be an option to buy a gamepack seperately.
Copyright
Copyright removal costs $29. Ive seen worse, but then again a lot of scripts include that for free in a full license.
Installation
Available for $23.95. A good price, and worth it if your a admin newbie.
Other Details
Nothing to report at this time.
Overall
Chika Arcade is a slick little offering. Its basic for sure, but I think a lot of people would be happy with it. The extra costs of support, upgrades and copyright removal I would suggest hamper sales, but thats a matter for the owner. 1500 games is nothing to sneeze at.

Ill be installing the script soon and can provide further comment when ive had a play with it.

I just wanted to point out a few more changes to make the script better in relation to your review.
Features - New upcoming version (starting at 2.50) will include multi-lingual support, user game uploads, and better commenting approval scheme.
Quality - Will remain our number 1 priority. This is the main reason why we want to keep the script simple and much more manageable even for new webmasters.
Pricing - Has been lowered to $39.00 per domain.
Support - is now Lifetime Support
Upgrade/Updates - is now Lifetime Upgrade.

08/29/2009 - This is exciting news for us! Due to demand and user request we are releasing the initial version of chika Arcade 3.0. This version is the stable release but limited in a way that it does not include all the templates. Only the default template is available (as seen at http://www.bestarcadescript.com). This release will also include only 380+ highscore games (1,500+ non-highscore games are still available).
We anticipate to release the remaining templates in the next week or 2 and additional games will hopefully be added weekly. Adding the games is a tedious process as we are going through each games one-by-one in order to properly categorize it and make sure that they are in proper working order.
In addition, we have modified our business model with version 3.0. Here are the following changes:
Lifetime support (NO MORE 1 year renewal)
Liftetime upgrade (NO MORE 1 year expiration)
NO MORE encrypted files
Installation - New low price of $15.00 (previously $23.95)
Copyright Removal - New low price of $19.00 (previously $29.00)
We have worked hard to add the features in version 3.0 and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we did creating it. Let us know if you find any problem or have any suggestion for upcoming versions. More features are already on the works!

I bought 2 scripts from chika but 2 of them has some problems but support doesn’t really helped me in long time.
