GSS is good product. The basic package is at an average price compared to the competition. The lifetime and unlimited support is a big, big plus. Free installation in everything above basic is another reason to check out GSS.
First Impressions
Gertainly GameSiteScript and GameScript are seen to share a similiar pedigree, but the website for GSS is a good deal differant. GSS is on version 4.0. The website sports a fairly stripped down look which makes it very easy to navigate. There are some screenies to consider, available through the right hand menu, but a few more would be good also. Features are listed in a straight forward manner and once again its all very easy read and study should you be considering GSS.
Demo
There is a single front and backend demo. Unfortunately, while I could log into the backend, thats as far as I got, for some reason it kept chucking me out. Not sure if it was a browser issue or a coding issue on their site. Maybe it was under maintenance. The frontend demo is very basic. Nothing to get very excited about and could do with a bit of extra flair to show off the scripts potential.
Features
A normal set of features that would be adequate for most people but you can certainly get more in other scripts.
Quality
Its version 4.0, and its been around for a while. Everything is very streamlined now, and you should be able to enjoy an easy life as admin of a site running GSS.
Pricing
A massive catalogue of options is available.
- GSS Lifetime Licence Basic Script - $50 - For use on a single domain. No games. Not encrypted or encoded.
- GSS + 500 Games - $75 - As above with the extra games. A good starter package.
- GSS + High Score Addon + 1250 High Score Games - $145 - If your after the high scores feature you could save a bundle here.
- GSS + HSC + 1250 HS games + copyright removal - $195 - Gives you everything you need without the annoying copyright.
- GSS + 1750 games + copyright removal - $185 - For those wanting a lot of standard games
- GSS + 3000 games + copyright removal - $265 - The combination of 1750 standard and 1250 high score capable games.
- GSS + 1750 games + 1250 HS Games + 1750 Videos + Copyright Removal - $335 - The top of the line package.
The high end packages for GSS certainly represent better value than those for GS. Its still a lot of money but you get some great quality with it.
Support
Support comes in the form of tickets, email and forums and the great news is its unlimited and never expires! If your considering GSS this does help offset the pain of initial purchase price.
Gamepacks
A whole bunch of game and video packs are available at $20 each. Good value, and infinitely better than some others. I think GSS is aiming to make most of their money from the main product - the script itself.
Copyright
Available seperately Removal of copyright costs a stunning $95. Far, far too much.
Installation
Installation is available for $40 on the basic package. In every other package its available free of charge. That is outstanding value really.
Other Details
2 extra addons are available. A high scores addon at $125 and a VBulletin addon at $50. The VBulletin addon might be worthwhile.
Overall
A great script, that represents reasonable value in the basic package, and if you can afford it, a bunch of good packages at the high end. It does get pretty damn expensive, but I have seen worse.

GSS 3.1-4.0 were very buggy and alot of the functions were broken. I and some others have fixed all the bugs, added new features and mods (and other downloadable content). Gamesitescript now far surpasses any other script on the market.
