PHPAS is a great script, there is no mistaking that. With free support, cheap install, cheap script and tonnes of bonus games, its very hard to go past this product. Unlike some alternatives the script it is actively being upgraded as well.
First Impressions
PHP AS is one of the heavyweights in the world arcade scripts. There product is used on hundreds of websites and is highly recommended by a great many people, some say its the best, and its not hard to see why. Their website is professional, highly informative and dead easy to navigate.
Demo
Essentially 2 demos were available, one sporting a pretty flashy template showing off much of version 4’s potential, another thats been upgraded over time to carry the new version. I was particularly impressed with the first one, the banner could do with some work, but it shows off the script quite well. I tried out the translation support, loaded up a page in russian lol. I have no idea how accurate it is, but its certainly a worthwhile feature. The admin area is one of the better ones ive seen, might not be as slick as Arcadem Pro, but it is feature packed, and fast.
Features
A very extensive features page provides great insight into its capabilities. This is one serious script for webmasters serious about their sites, both in terms of earning potential and building a site people want to link too and visit. Thats really what you need. Tools + Design + Content + Unique Twist = Win. PHPAS gives you the tools, the rest is up to you. Some cool features include - mochi ads, advanced tracking, featured game functionality etc. From what Ive seen it competes with Arcadem Pro.
Quality
Exceptionally good is what I would say. Nothing major, although bear in mind V4.0 is still relatively new on the scene.
Pricing
The pricing on PHPAS is very competitive. There are 2 differant options available.
Basic Package - $45 - 1 license, the script and a whopping 2850 games.
Basic Package + Install - $65 - the same package with install tacked on.
Either package is stunning value. The install option could well be worth it to those still learning sql and the control panel etc. $20 for installation is great stuff!
Support
Free, lifetime support on forums, IM, and email - you cant really get better than that. Also there appears to be a ticket based system in place, so people must be using that as well.
Gamepacks
All the games are listed on the PHPAS, every title…man thats a lot of work, so you know exactly what youre getting. I couldnt find an option to buy the games seperately on the site itself, but im sure its possible.
Copyright
1 licence entitles you to use the script on one site. Copyright is removed with even the basic version, as it should be. In terms of removing the link back. I couldnt find that information so check into that.
Installation
Available for $20, which is terrific value.
Other Details
Nothing else really.
Overall
If your looking for an alternative to scripts like onArcade, GSS and alike, then PHPAS could be your ticket. Its right up there with the very best, and in terms of price, outstanding value in all aspects, especially considering the installation cost.

I have used phpArcadeScript v3.0 for some time now, and I must say it is the most powerful and easiest arcade script I’ve ever used.
Along with a great product, you get great customer support and a great ease of modifying your arcade with either mods or templating.
Custom templating is used with both PHP and static HTML pages, making it so anyone with basic knowledge of both languages can make their own custom template.
the arcadescripts.com arcade is actually very good. Its one of the better scripts out of the many competitors.
Is a cool script, the only thing I dont like and make me look for other scripts is that each game wont count how many times have been play, I would like to know if people are really playing the games

I just tried Stand Alone PHP Arcade script, can you guys do a review on it? i really like it so far.
Daniel White didn’t have anything good to say about Arcadem, yet something good about this horrible script? Hmmmm…something fishy here. I used PHPAS for a while, and it was horrible. There are freeware CMSs out there that are free of cost, and are MUCH better than PHPAS. PHPAS was the most unprofessional piece of unconfigurable junk I’ve ever witnessed. No documentation, very little help in the forums. You’ll be lucky if your posts aren’t removed from their forums if you have any complaints…such as no responses for tickets you put in because certain functions don’t work when you try to use them. Rule of thumb here is, if a company selling online software only accepts PayPal payments, then they are very shady!
Be forewarned.
I am using version 4.0 and so far this is the most powerful arcade script ive used. I have tried GSS and Arcadem.

The games actually do count how many times they have been played. You can see from the admin panel under manage games section.
The support sucks! The set up is nice, Admin panel is old fashion, and they should offer a refund to people that aren’t happy with it like I am. But support is a big deal to me and I’ve seen people post over a month ago for something serious and got NO SUPPORT! Who want’s to deal with that?
